I like the older games better, but some newer games are great too! More focused on Game play than stories -_- which is a shame.

My top 3 online games would be

I'm into RPG games such as Kingdom hearts, Final fantasy (Anything with good storyline not to fussed about game play unless it's above "ok" anything really bad i can't play!

I like Hack and slash if it's online with other people, I don't mind FPS like left 4 dead which involves skill with guns swords either ^^.

I like scary and strategy games as well.

My favorite games probably strategy and RPG <3

i am planning on getting Darkfall Online to hit the top of the MMORPG list soon :p maybe of my all time favorites. (kingdom hearts is also on my favorites list )

Favorite game genres are RPG and RTS, and the things i look for most in those genres is challenging/ infinitely amusing gameplay and deep storylines (you know, the ones that are worked out so well you cant help but cry if a character dies)

I like FPS if your with a group of friends, alone it can be boring though.

Most FPSs do get boring within a yeah or so.

The vampire MMO should be ok though. I might give it a try. I'm hoping the game itself will be free in some ways. Having to pay for the game would put me off playing.

I'm not even sure if this MMO they have planed for vtm is going to be any good or just a cheap copy, but we will see.

the upcomming WOD mmo is gonna be for the new world of darkness. I'll be honest, i've seen the changes between old WOD and new WOD and it basically seems like they turned it more sissy like.

I was thinking more along the lines of a hack and slash MMO maybe an area full of Gangrels and another area full of Tremere or something.

I think the MMO will be based on VT:R maybe having the disciplines as special attacks. Might be fun at first.

that's because they wanted to get to the more social aspect of the game and focus on the loss of humanity and how scary that is. the revised edition of WoD was to fighting-oriented in WW:s opinion. (at least that's how i understood it)

Well i can see they wished that, but they pretty much made all supernaturals weaker, removed all clans but 5 (3 of which arent even from the OWOD) and removed generations and antidiluvians (i can see why they did this though)

yeah, i agree, although if you wanna play a brujah they are there, but as a bloodline to the gangrel clan, which clans do you mean, i remember Ventrue, Mehket, Daeva, Nosferatu and Gangrel (and you said 3 of them didnt excist in the OWoD). They created alot of bloodlines to these clans and alot of diffrent "cults" like Invictus and Ordo Dracul (dont remember if they are called houses or cults, just remember they dont call them sects anymore)

The game will be made by CPP, the same company that made Eve Online. I think the game will require a monthly subscription. This might be tough for WoD fans who don't have jobs.

Im looking forward to it regardless. However im not expecting much.

And i agree with Isador about VT:R having taken so much away its hardlly recognisable. I used to PnP with a group who mixed both Requiem and Masquerade together, that was fantastic, i doubt the MMO will though.

Actually WoW is NOT point and Click. The movement is more RPG style

What are you talking about? Have you played WoW before? WoW is NOT point-and-click. You move with the mouse wheel or WASD.
you *could* play with the mouse only, but you need shortcuts for to use skills. And mouse only will never make you good at PvP. The same concept applies to Guild Wars and other MMOs.

i've played WoW for 3 freakin years. if you hold down both mouse buttons, you got your movement right there, and you can also use your mouse to click the skills you want to use. and quote: The same concept applies to Guild Wars and other MMO's. ALL of them you could play like this, making em point and click.

I've personally played Horizons: empire of istaria, Everquest 2, Guildwars, World of warcraft, the lord of the rings online and Warhammer online respectively since 2003, and these were ALL point and click.

I've personally grown to abhor the whole right-click-an-enemy-and-grab-a-soda combat that all of these mmo's emplore (you could argue that the fact that you have to activate skills during combat in order to function properly in most games, but this is hardly an excuse.) in world of warcraft i often made my character auto-attack an enemy, then i went off to take a leak. By the time i got back, the enemy was either almost dead or dead, and all that was left for me to do was loot the dead body. For crying out loud, if i tried to dodge an arrow in world of warcraft it would bend it's flying arch in order to hit me.

Which is why i'm looking forward to darkfall online, which will have first-person type combat with directed swings, aimed arrows and aimed spells.

Well, it is arguable that one can beat WoW and GW and Runescape with 70% efficiency. Even when things get rough, you could ask for help from guildies.
But if you consider WoW to be an AFK game, that is not fun. You would be practically wasting your money...

Nah it wasn't an AFK game, but i was specifically refering to a time when i needed a specific recipe for my enchanting business. (good money that was) This recipe couldn't be bought of other players because it was soul-bound on pickup, meaning you had to farm for it. And the mob that dropped it had a droprate for it of 0,1%, with only 3 spawnpoints, and there could only be one of these mobs in the world at any given time.

Forgive me if i didn't want to stick around for every single time i fought that same bastard Same typically goes for raids, if you done a full raid once you'll have seen everything that raid has to offer, but unfortunally you'll inevitably have to go through it several dozen times so everyone can get their epic gear.

But i did enjoy my time in WoW though, played a Feral Druid for 3 years before reaching the raiding system. I met some good people there, and eventhough of the grind i kept playing. Eventually concluding it simply wasn't worth it going through the same dungeons 20 times to get blue/epic gear just to be able to enter raids.

The main reason i got plenty of bad stuff to say about WoW is because since it's release, there hasn't been a single original MMORPG. All of them somehow managed to copy the larger part of what was World of Warcraft , yet manage to get the entire experience either wrong or worse from WoW itself.
