For multiplayer, I play VTMR, Guild Wars and Freelancer.
For singleplayer, I play The Guild Europa 1400, Zeus and Poseidon, Master of Orion 2.

Though I don't play on a regular everyday basis.

I suggest you try ElderScroll Oblivion as well. The gameplay is quite similar to Fallout 3
(of course the story, world, theme are all different)

Oblivion offers far more freedom than Fallout3.

If your getting some time in with Fallout3, you should try the add on packs.

i played oblivion long before i found fallout 3. i am an oblivion addict. but for some reason fall out 3 is a lot more....seakyro. i mean i found out about it only after we played seakyro. and then i started playing it high one night and i realized holy fucking shit, this is just like seakyro. and that was fucking cool. so then i played it more and more. it's a lot more raw and just so...human. it's what we are we're fucking animals that think they are smart. we're just fucking savages in the end. that's how it all was in my mind at the time. don't know if it makes sense.

Oblivion and Morrowind > Fallout 3

In Oblivion i was an argonian archer/thief. I robbed entire CITIES of everything you could pawn at the thieves' guild.

In Fallout 3 i was pretty much the same as jericho, guy wandering the wastes with a big caliber rifle blowing shit to bits and scavenging for a living

Gothic 3 is pretty similar to Oblivion (at least the graphics and engine is). And it does give out a pretty large freedom in an open-ended world. I love it! (Though Gothic 2 is still better)

Oblivion is so cool.. if you put in 20 gb of mods at least, i still enjoy playing it from time to time, but I really miss MMOing
Fallout 3 the same, I explored it soooo much, but eventually got bored of it...
I tried Guildwars Demo.. but the game feels Strange somehow, the only thing really appealing about it atm is the one time payment :p

Guild Wars is not an MMO. It is a multiplayer game, but not a massive world.
To simplify, if you need to zone in to different zones, it's not an MMO!
But it is still cool!
