After long deliberation (5 minutes) allow me to introduce you all to Metropolis by night, my first chronicle! Ye see, after waiting so long for Shadow to get hosting again i dont have anything to fuel my Sabbat addiction with, so here is my own Sabbat chronicle. (on a totally unrelated note, i gotta stop scratching my wrists open) And because it's Sabbat, feel free to diablarize, cheat, fuck or kill your way to the top, it's a free-for-all and if you happen to get into a tight spot on the way there...tough shit. PvP is fully open, you wanna tear out someone's guts and that happends to be someone else? Go ahead! Just get a good reason for it, if it's just because he/she "is in the way" then i wont allow it. If however it's some fledgeling thats been bothering you for weeks, please dont let me stop you from snapping every little bone in his body

In any case, here's how it'll work.

- People come to me with a bio, detailing everything that happends in their mortal lives UNTILL the moment they are knocked out. Wether this is during a stand-off with your would-be sire is up to you or wether everything just went black all of a sudden, thats up to you. If you dont wanna write a bio, thats fine too, just be sure to come up with a solid character then. The embrace part is where the chronicle starts.

- I will only hosts for either the entire group of players when they are actively working together. If this is not the case, i will host in games that at most, will have 2 or 3 people in them, and preferably not 2 or 3 people going their seperate ways. I'll track what is happening on a day-to-day basis. Day 1 will be all the player's embrace, even if not all of you get your intro game on the same day. From day 2 and onward, i'll be tracking what you guys accomplish, fail to accomplish or wether or not you guys have downtime. By using this system, i hope to host often when people are there, yet not give people the idea that what they are doing is completely seperate from what other people do.

- I'll try to keep rolling to a minimum, only calling for rolls when it MATTERS! If you're pointing a gun straight at a guys' head and he's lying on the floor, he wont be dodging.

- Advancement will not be with XP, but i'll give you traits depending on wether or not i feel you earned it.

Few houserules

- I'll not allow most crazy stuff. You wanna be a Salubri antitribu eventhough those are extinct? Fine, but dont expect a claymore, 50. cal handcannon or a porsche (hey, those can be dangerous too!)

- Dont complain ingame about shit. I am not fast when it comes to propping, creating or managing npcs, so i dont have time to hear out your bitching ingame Out of game however, feel free to indulge me


Chronicle will be OWOD, as well as using some fun fun stuff that i come up with along the way. Rest assured, these will not interfere with PvP (unless for the balancing of supremely powerful disciplines) It's all for the sake of enjoyment!


FAQ

"what city will this chronicle play out in?"
i dont wanna hear bitching about "geographical correctness" so i'm just naming the city Metropolis, it'll be in the US but fortunately now i can take all the artistical freedom that i want in creating the surroundings

"What characters can we expect to see?"
Bishops, rival packs, the archbishop of the city, etc. While i'll try to keep the vampire population in the city down, there will be enough to enforce Sabbat dominance.

"Can my character die?"
yes. Do something stupid, you might not live to regret it. I'll allow you a small window of opportunity to save yourself but dont expect a large one, and you wont get one on repeated offense or something drastically unlogical.

"PvP?"
Totally, rip eachothers guts out

"I sometimes get the idea certain skills arent usefull at all. What about these?"
You might or might not end up in situations where you can use these. In any case, you cant hack a computer if you have 0 computer skill (in fact you'll barely be able to boot one up) and you cant be extremely polite to the archbishop if your etiquette is 0.

Pack Shadow Gauntlet

Sandro - A man of italian origin that appears good natured and friendly at first glance, however is the more then capable ductus of his pack. Rumours are abound that he is actually the childe of the local Lasombra Archbishop, the thought of which alone is enough to scare away any competitors for his position as ductus. As such, he is reckless, arrogant and cocky. He doesn't interfere too much with the business of his fellow packmates, but he ruthlessly takes command when the need arrises, and never hesitates to impose his authority on shovelheads that step out of line.

Emily - A peculair character to the people around her, appearing easily distracted and careless with strange personality quirks to match. She's shown to have a cruel side in relentlessly tormenting her prey once captured like a cat plays with a bug, while also showing a playful side which can be equally disturbing to bystanders. Maybe there's more to her then meets the eye, or maybe she's just bad-shit insane.

Mute - No one is really sure who Mute is. All the people who seen him know is that he always hides behind his old tattered robe and never speaks a word or shows his face. Some of the rival packs in the city proclaim that Sandro went into the forbidden catacombs beneath the haven of the Archbishop where they pour concrete over the torpored bodies of failed recruits and somehow, awakened Mute and had him join his pack. What exacly went on there and why the archbishop hasn't stepped in to deal with it is unknown, maybe because it isn't true. It's only served to further fuel the rumours surrounding this pack, as well as having birthed another rumour, namely that it's not just failed recruits sleeping away the ages in the catacombs...

Well day 1 has officially passed, with the new vampires having been introduced to the power players in the city. Day 2 will offer more exitement as the pack gets send on it's first task, and the plots begins to unfold.

In the meantime, i'll be busy propping that may take a while

To all the current players: I'm thinking about making Metropolis by Night entirely MSN based, meaning the story unfolds outside of Redemption. I feel this will probably be a better system for me to host in, as it'll allow me to go into more detail, storytell for loners in the group while storytelling for the group itself and most importantly:

NO MORE PROPPING

If i get a majority of votes agreeing with me, i'll convert the entire chronicle to MSN based. This will greatly speed up the game, both in number of games hosted and in the time it takes to get stuff done, as well as increasing the amount of detail in can put into it.

isador... playing over msn was good... but consider spending some time for other players who like playing in the game... you can host games for players that like in game and for players who like in msn... hell ill help you out if you get too lasy.
But i wont do the map for you, just give you a list of props with the commands for them. for faster editing.
