Annoying ads

Everyever I go, an annoying ads seems to pop up saying "play now my lord" and features a semi-naked female woman in a banner sized image:








I swear it is everywhere, even going as far as YouTube in some cases. It has even made the papers over here.

Ive seen it, but it hasnt made such big of an interest to me, a woman is showing part of her breast and her bra, its made to attract more people, well in this case right now i have lost my apetite from this thread, mostly from the ads...

They are too lazy to make an original banner, so they just go with the semi-naked lady. It's what any developer does when they arent sure about how many player a game will attract

What's ironic is when the game was first coming out, it was just a warrior in armor. And I actually clicked that and checked it out, got bored, and quit.

Then when these titty-ads came out it made me think it was either a really crappy game, or a game that would resort to unrelated sexual advertising just to make money. Either way I was never clicking those ads.

Then my cousin said he played it, so I finally clicked the link, and realized it was the same mediocre game I played long ago when the ad was a warrior in armor

If you google "Evona ads" you can find whole articles about their slimey advertising campaign.

I've been using AdBlock and this derivative since 2004 - cuts the cruft, especially useful when someone is SUCKING THE BANDWIDTH like a frenzied vampire would suck your blood. It is to the point where even my most bare-bones Firefox profile contains ABP. Know it. Love it. Mess around with it.

...This is an advertisement for a GAME? Or is it softcore pornography disguised as a game? Or should the marketers be made into splash-on paint? Whatever the case is, it's just another instance of the "sex sells" crap that's been shoveled into marketing for the past few decades. This one is a bit more... blatant.

Not that I mind looking at a pair of mammaries, but misrepresentation using sex - or any misrepresentation - is uncouth.
