Hello and good evening to you all, I happened to be surfing around on Planet Vampire checking out the MODS for Redemption and I came across an ad for your site. Seeing as how VTMR is one of my favorite games of all time and I am a major fan of the VTM I just felt compelled to join your fine group. Now I must admit that when it comes to playing VTMR ( the video game ) over the internet or even via LAN I am about as experienced as a kindred rising right after the embrace..... which is to say that I am a rookie.

Look forward to creating a character soon and hopefully experiencing the night with you fine bloodsuckers.

So what how does one go about setting up a character on this site?

you do it in game, go set up a Lan and create a character.

I assume you have Hamachi and all neccessary mods?

That depends on the game. To start easy, you could have one character to use in all games.

There are three steps:
(1)
Under character Bio, write a short summary of the history of the character, describe his appearacne and personality. And specify what equipment he/she has. (But for most games, you could skip that step)

(2)
Run the game and choose a skin for the character.

(3)
To join PnP games
You will need to create a character sheet (csheet). Either go to the link provided to fill the sheet, or speak to the ST and he will set you up.

The current STs now are (listed alphabetically)
Doan LockheartL Hosting Baton Rouge by Night (NWoD)
Hydrogen and Isador: Co-hosting Dark Age Tremere Chron (PnP)
Mopy: Hosting a chron (but I never managed to join, unfortunately)
Shadow Lance: Hosting Seakyro by Night (No rolling, for now)
Trogers2: Hosting Brazil by Night (Make sure the char has less experience than 22000 total)
VXTC: Hosting DA chron and another chron (NO CSheet needed)

OK...... Remember I am new to this whole LAN thing and all I have is the game and the main patch needed to run it. Never tried it non-single player before so ......... very much clueless.

First you will need to Download Hamachi, its how we play VTMR

Second, You will need MSN messenger, not essential, but helps.

Sorry I was going so fast. I will slow down a bit and start from the beginning.

Like Doe said, first start with Hamachi and MSN.
Hamachi allows LAN games. And MSN Messenger makes it easier to chat.

Next step is to go to the main website kindred-knights.co.cc. Make sure you download all the mods on the page and install them in the game directory.

After that, you're set. Run the game, go under LAN and select a character to represent you. Then chat someone on Hamachi or MSN and you will be able to join a game. .

What is your MSN adree ghostbuster? Also vtmrxtc channel is full, so you won't be able to join that

I think you should clean the channels every once in a while then, lots of channels are occupied by users who rarely ever if at all join the games or users with 3 accounts for the same person...I would gladly forefit my place at any of these channels if they are preventing other players from joining

When the need arises I do yes. As Hamachi (free version) only allows a max of 16 players, and the KK is a group well over 16 we get problems, when the channels are full I kick people then. There is room on both the Kindred-Knight (pass: vtmr) channels.
