Wait till you start college. Then you will really develop a value for time.
And if you get a job while at college, then say goodbye to your social life.
(Been there, done that. Though I still haven't graduated yet)

I used to have a part time Job and a full time study at college, it takes away ALL your time, i don't think it's worth it.

It depends on what you expect to get out of work. Some want work experience, some want money, some want to get out of the house. And some need the money, so they have to work.
I started working simply because I aeverybody does it. I didn't care much about the experience, the discipline or the money that could learn and earn.
My parents would not let me spend the money I earned. They forced me to save it. I have to admit that now, as I look back, they did the riight thing.

That seems like an odd way to go into work . But i agree with you about the "going to work for money, experecne or to get out the house" Though to be honest, college and work is painful and over time i think you'll just dry up! Also i think it means you have less "chance" of passing your course at college, if your time is taken up all the time.

To be honest, I think there aren't enough hours during the day. But some people can manage.
And trust me. When you are 27, you will think very differently than when you were 17.
Afterall, the only way to prove to yourself and to others that you have matured, is by taking more responsibilities and accepting consequences of previous actions.
If you are still a teen, take my advice, enjoy it while you can.

Re: Collage -__-
Well, it depends on where you live, and if it is expected and acceptable for young people who are still at school to work or not. In some cultures, it is shameful that a person would work at a fast food place or at dishwashing if his parents could support him/her.Trogers2 wrote:i think it means you have less "chance" of passing your course at college, if your time is taken up all the time.
In other cultures, it is considered shameful if a person does not try to work at a lowly job, or he'she would be known as a spoiled brat who is stil a mama's boy/daddy's girl.
If you live in a culture that promotes and encourages young men and women to work while at school or college, then get a part-time job, (no more than 20-25 hour a week). Unless you need the money, then get a fulltime job.
With a part-time job and full-time college, your leisure time will be cut in half (or more), but you will still enjoy a somewhat reasonable social life.

True, however while in education, going stright into full time work is murder. I can understand a part time job hower, while in college shouldn't you be focused on the work and not the Job, and does it matter if people shame you?

Re: Collage -__-
You bring a valid point. That works if your parents are willing to support you fully while you are at college.
But some parents make it known to their children that once they reach eighteen, they will have to provide their own clothes and entertainment, and sometimes food. These students are allowed stay at their parents' house, as long as they are full-time students.
So, it is either they get a student loan and study full-time, or get a part-time job that brings a small stream of income. Most people choose the second option.
And sometimes the children have to pay for their own education. Which is pretty expensive.
So if you have parents who are ready and willing to pay for your education and support you while doing it, don't hesitate. Take advantage of it, get your degree and then thank them for it

Re: Collage -__-
Well the biggest problem I see with school isn't school itself, but studying. Man for every class you are in two plus hours per paper it's enough to drive you mad. So to fix it you blackmail your teachers. Sleep with the women and tell the man your going to tell there wives they are sleeping with your friend. Either way I see it beening a win win.

Regarding that, i think it can be unhealthy for anyone to only have internet based social lives.
Regarding working and studying, i dont see the issue, i did it for 5 years.
